Ran, Forrest Ran!

Well, things seemed to go quite well for the PRT for me. I even managed to improve my time from last years run to 13:13 mile 1/2. I know slow for most young punks, but not bad for this old man.

As it stands, I believe that the current PRT system needs an overhaul. A lot of people (such as myself) prefer to train on an eliptical running maching rather than running on the hardpack . It is so much better on the joints and such.

Ahh well.. I passed, and thats all that matters.

“Run Forrest, Run!”

Today is the PRT.

For the uninitiated, PRT stands for “Physical Readiness Test”. Basically can you do pushups? Can you do sit-ups? Can you run 1 1/2 miles ? Yea, I can do that. We shall just see what my times are though, as I get older it gets a little more difficult to run that 1 1/2 miles in the time that I like, but I guess that is part of life eh?

Welcome Aboard!

Ahoy Shipmates! Tis’ I, Jaybob, back again to try and promise to keep up the duties to which I have assigned myself. (That being to keep up this blog in a timely manner!) Well I am sure that you have noticed the new and improved digs here :)

Dig the picture on the banner! I thank the great makers of the wonderful photo program called “The Gimp” for giving me the ability to make that wickedly good picture. (If I do say so myself!)

So, I will be keeping you up to date on things that are going on here in my world and hopefully you will care enough to read.

Until then, Take care shipmates.
