Wow… Been quite a while since I have updated this site. *blows dust off the HTML code*

A lot has happened and I will try to catch my faithful one or two readers up. I received orders to go to NAS Pensacola to the Advanced Avionics Integrated Weapons System Maintenance C7 School (AAIWSM C7 for short). It is supposed to be extremely difficult and quite math intensive. *Shudder* One thing this old sea dog is not good at is math. I guess I shall be buying a lot of books to help me out. I have been looking at some of those “Dummy’s” books for algebra and calculus. Those should at least help me get the basics of it all.

One of the good things about the move is that I will be able to send Mrs. Jaybob ahead and start to set up the new housing so that the check in process will be a lot smoother. Apparently the housing is pretty nice and she will be able to just pick up the keys and move right in. That will be very convenient indeed. We are both planning on driving cross country …. sooooo to make that easier on both of us we got new cars! YEOWZA what a weekend that was!

I traded in my paid off 2000 Nissan Altima SE for a slightly used 2005 Toyota Prius hybrid. It only has about 6k miles on it and is in minty fresh condition. I really love this car, not only does it get great gas mileage but it is pretty damn cool on the inside too. A lot of people think that it is small, but are quite surprised when they get in the back and find that they have more than enough leg room. Great car… Go buy one before your gas prices are $5.00 a gallon!

 

Mrs. Jaybob on the otherhand went the other route, and got a brand new Suzuki Grand Vitara mini SUV. Suzi cube (as we have come to call her because it is the wifes 3rd Suzuki) isn’t great on the ole gas mileage but it has already come quite in handy when moving some stuff around, it will also be quite nice when she travels across country with a lot of our goods plus the beagles.

So… to sum up.. Going to Pensacola, Florida. Got new cars. Been a while since I updated. Driving cross country.
