Ok, fast forward to the present. I know it has been a while since I posted blah blah blah.. excuses…excuses.

On to the posting…

It would seem that I am currently under quarantine due to exposure to the mumps.

“THE MUMPS YOU SAY?”

why yes.. a disease that I thought was all but pretty much eradicated due to the great advances in medicine and vaccinations that the modern world has achieved. I guess I thought wrong. The mumps is still a real threat out there, currently there is an outbreak in the Midwest that has racked up about 400-500 confirmed cases so far. All starting on a college campus in Iowa… two people got on different airplanes and spread their virus seed to other unsuspecting pressurized flying tube detainees.

Here is a quote from the AP

“In the worst outbreak in more than 20 years, mumps cases are spilling out of Iowa, popping up in at least nine other Midwestern states. Cases have also turned up in Illinois, Kansas, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska,Oklahoma and Wisconsin.”

Boy this sure would suck having the big QUARANTINE sign hanging outside for all the world to see. ugh…
Well that should be enough for now… I need to get some rest to keep the ‘ole anti-bodies up and healthy. Just want to give a ‘lil ‘ole shout out to my sis-in-law for the “mumpy-ness” .. Thanks sis.
